- CSN - Community Sports Network
A collaboration between clubs and other sports bodies located in a specific geographic area. The group aims to provide support to the member groups and direct resource to areas where it is necessary. - CSP - County Sports Partnership
A CSP is a network of key agencies and providers who are committed to establishing a sustainable infrastructure to the inhabitants of a county in order to provide a single and accessible system of sport. The CSP to which York is associated is North Yorkshire Sport
- DCMS - Department for Culture, Media and Sport
A branch of the government that aims to improve the quality of life for all through cultural and sporting activities, to support the pursuit of excellence and to champion the tourism, creative and leisure industries. See the DCMS web site for more details. - NGB - National Governing Body
An organisation for the management and administration for a particular sport within the UK. - NHS - National Health Service
The UK's body responsible for public health care services. - NYS - North Yorkshire Sport
North Yorkshire Sport is the county sports partnership (CSP) for North Yorkshire. See the NYS web site for further details. - PCT - Primary Care Trust
A local NHS organisation with responsibility for provision of direct, first line health care.
