If people would make use of this then it is certainly something that should be considered. The question is how would this be managed?

Active York does not have allocated staff per se. I imagine some sort of data_base_ of items would be required and some sort of loans system like a library. It may be possible to have something on like this on the web site...? Alternatively we could certainly create another sub-section of this forum where people could request or offer equipment.

Putting it on the web site would (probably) eliminate management overheads and just help put people in touch with one another in a timely manner. The same could be achieved through the zone meetings, but the frequency and attendance would suggest that the message would not get out and responses received for what could be three or four months!

Whilst the accessing of octopush equipment through the council doesn't seem to have worked I would point out that quite a few clubs have benefited from the equipment available through the council on loan from the York Sports Coach Association.
