The City's four Sports Zones (N, S, E and W) are the partnership's building blocks, providing the vital link between the strategic function of the partnership and the grassroots sport and active leisure community. In each zone a nominated sports volunteer acts as a "community link" and is often the first port of call for clubs, coaches and volunteers in need of advice and information. With a seat on the Executive Board, the community link volunteers are able to ensure the needs and aspirations of the city's clubs, coaches and volunteers are at the heart of Active York's strategic development.
